My Best Self

The best version of me is someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about changing people's lives. When I'm most at being myself, people are laughing, having fun, and at times have conversations that would change the way they view the Lord in everyday interaction. My energy will be infectious to people in the room. My empathy will allow people to understand that they are seen, heard, and known because of their worth: fearfully and wonderfully created by the image of God the Father. My passion is to empower Christians to live for Jesus. Everyone is called to go and share the gospel with those who have never heard of it before. As it is done with the body of Christ—the church, I will counsel brothers who are broken and hurt, to show them the light and grace that Jesus had already laid out for his people. When fellow brothers and sisters are lost in confusion, I want to be the consistent voice that understands their frustration but allowing a different voice other their own by seeking the Holy Spirit for guidance.
I have a unique personality where I am able to adapt to many different personalities. I take my approachable personality to evangelize to those who do not know Christ. In order to do that, my best self spends time in the Word and in prayer with Jesus because he is my cornerstone and I cannot do anything without him. When I find confidence in the Lord instead of man, I understand that if God is with me, no one can possibly be against me. I pray that God's dream will become my dream. Whatever vision he says for his people, I pray that he may use me for his Kingdom work. I become fearless towards the mission that the Lord puts on my heart. I am able to lead people with grace and firmness, with inclusivity and positivity. I believe that God has given every believer spiritual gifts. Of many, my spiritual gifts are teaching, preaching, evangelism, and hospitality. Whenever I am in a setting where I get to teach and preach about God’s word, I feel at home. I feel comfortable. I feel confident. I love to teach students in hopes of understanding more of who God is. The best version of me is someone who is bold enough to live radically for Jesus Christ. Whether that is to my next-door neighbor or to people in the most dangerous parts of the world, I want to be the light to the darkness and to the world. I want to partner with ministers and pastors in the dangerous parts of the world to help them operate underground church with fellow neighboring believers. One of the most satisfying acts of service I can possibly do to others is to show hospitality. I love inviting people over to my house and making them feel special. Whether that's making food or tea for them, I love to show love and care to those I care deeply about.
