I had the privilege to work at Salvation Army and their after school program. It consisted with kids who were in elementary school and volunteers that help them with snacks, homework, and games until their parents are out of work. Working with kids is one of my favorite activities. Another part of me comes out when I get to help and hang out with kids because of how playful they are. When I had entered into the program, I came in with the intention of wanting to play a positive role as an adult male. Some of these kids do not have a dad in the house and I wanted to spend my time being a good influence on them. I was able to help serve snacks to them, help with homework and play with them afterwards until their parents came to pick them up.
